When I became a mother, everything I had been holding came undone. Postpartum anxiety. Burnout so deep that recovery took years. A complex PTSD diagnosis that finally gave language to what my body had been carrying all along. Motherhood didn't create my wounds. It revealed them, and it asked me to heal them so my child wouldn't have to carry them too.
I didn't come to the work I do today because I had it figured out. I came because I had to find my way back to myself, again and again.
If you are in the middle of your own undoing, I know that place. You don't have to find your way through it alone.
Healer, Dreamer, Midwife
For more than a decade, I've helped leaders build healthier workplaces and communities while asking a question that has shaped my life: What would it actually take for womxn to feel safe enough to live fully?
That question became deeply personal.
I immigrated to the United States from Belarus with one suitcase and one hundred dollars. I built businesses, returned to corporate, left corporate, experienced workplace harm, became a mother, and went through burnout so severe that recovery took years. After postpartum anxiety and a complex PTSD diagnosis, I began to understand how much my body had been keeping score.
For a long time, I believed we could change the systems harming us from the inside. I wrote a book called A Culture of Safety trying to do exactly that.
The work mattered. The door closed anyway.
Eventually, I had to ask a bigger question: What if creating healthier workplaces isn’t enough when the society shaping those workplaces remains organized around domination, extraction, and control?
Today, I guide womxn through the lifelong journey of becoming Matriarchs, helping them live, love, and lead with care, community, and courage at the center.
